OUR STORY
Secular Background
Our story began as college sweethearts who became Christians together. We both began our careers in business while remaining actively involved in the work of the local church.
Scott ran a construction company for five years, earned his MBA from Emory University, and then spent five years at UPS working in digital marketing and product development. Alexis spent five years as an Operations Manager at Nestlé, followed by four years as an Assistant Director at Primrose. She then spent six years homeschooling their three children and now serves as the Communications Director for Intercultural Bible.
Deacon of Foreign Missions
Our family developed a passion for taking the gospel throughout the world while Scott was a deacon of foreign missions at Piedmont Rd. in Atlanta. He traveled regularly on short-term trips to conduct gospel meetings, youth camps, medical missions, and evangelistic campaigns. He has done mission work in India, Philippines, Guyana, and Honduras. As a family, we eventually decided to dedicate our lives to full-time missions, and we never once looked back.
Education & Current Ministry
After leaving secular work, Scott and Alexis studied for two years at Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver, Colorado. In 2021, Scott received his Bachelor’s degree in Theology, while Alexis completed the Bible Certificate program through the women’s program.
Scott is currently completing his Master of Divinity through Freed-Hardeman University’s online program and expects to graduate in December 2026. He serves full-time as the Senior Minister at Westbury church of Christ, where he and his family worship and serve. In addition to his ministry at Westbury, Scott continues to serve in the global mission work of Logos Answers.
Our Family is God-Centered
One of our top priorities is to raise a godly family. Alexis does a fantastic job of raising well-behaved and modest children. We worship with the churches of Christ, and wherever we have worshipped, we have been active in service and faithful in attendance. Scott believes in teaching the whole counsel of God, in season and out of season. His lessons are God-centered, Bible-based, and rich in practical application. We’re not perfect, but we praise God for His grace!
